Aerial short film by Skywat­cher Pictures

Imagined as the extended version of a minimalist perfume advertisement, "Bird" playfully compares the human condition and urban lifestyle with vast natural landscapes. The short film, directed by Skywatcher Pictures, stars actress "Marine Rousseau" as a captive bird. Deprived of its freedom, the story delves into its melancholic thoughts haunted by regrets of its former life. Our VFX service was responsible for the special effects featured in this short film.

Presentation: Special Effects Production

Presented in 4 shots of the short film, our special effects were necessary to create and digitally animate angel wings as well as forged iron bars.

A portion of the environment is replaced to integrate a mountainous landscape in the background. The objective of this approach is to bring a more aerial atmosphere to the scene.

Several simulations were conducted regarding wood splinters and trickling water on the pier during the appearance of the forged iron bars. These simulations enabled us to produce this complex animation, blending artistic vision with physical feasibility.
