Context: Launch of the 2022 League Of Legends season!
Riot Games is an American video game publisher and developer founded in 2006 and best known for its game League Of Legends.
In 2016, League Of Legends set up in France to strengthen its position and image.
Wishing to launch the 2022 season of League Of Legends, Teamfight Tactics and Wild rift in an original and memorable way, we teamed up with 3K ELO and Phoenix Films to meet this demand.
Services: Production of special effects
On this project, we were responsible for supervising the special effects during filming. This included cutting out and studying the project with the director, managing the blue and green backgrounds, taking references, etc.
Prior to filming, a research and development (R&D) session was necessary to establish the portal's graphic style and the treatment of the various assets. Following this, we were able to design and produce the various special effects used in the video featuring the famous League Of Legend game.
Our mission was to integrate the League Of Legends universe into the real world. To do this, we created and integrated these visual special effects:
- The portal allowing the extras to teleport into the game world, as well as the light beam used to attract them to the portal,
- Integration and animation of Drake Hextech (the dragon), one of the new creatures to be fought in the game,
- Integration and animation of the mushrooms referring to the "harmful trap
"Integration of tags, referring to the character of Jinx,
- Integration of green background shots of sung performances into posters, frames and other elements of the set,
- Luminous integration of motifs similar to the Teamfight Tactics boards on the floor,
- Erasing of logos present in the video,
- Restructuring/embellishment of the sky to create a magical and fantastic atmosphere.
