Context

François Descraques is the founder of the FrenchBall collective, as well as a French screenwriter and director famous for popularising and launching the web series movement on the internet. Most notably, he directed Le Visiteur du Futur in 2009, first released on Dailymotion before making TV appearances on Nolife and France 4.

Le Visiteur du Futur is often referred to as France's first 'real' web series. Begun in 2009 with a short format and no budget, it now has 4 seasons, is produced by Ankama and won the 2010 Montreux Comedy Award for Best Comedy Web Series. The series is now available in comic books, novels, games and a host of goodies.

François Descraques is working with the same team and his production company, Frenchnerd , on his new mini-series Rock Macabre, co-produced by Endemol. The web series comprises 3 episodes.

Synopsis

A rock band sees its audience become "possessed" by an unknown curse and must survive. The only way to calm them down? Sing and play music.

Prestation

Tronatic Studio acted as VFX supervisor on this web series, producing special effects on 14 shots showing the transformation into a "possessed" person: eye colouring, luminous veins invading the face, vomiting of diabolic molecules, etc.
