Skylink is a project developed in partnership with Eric Géraud (engineer) and Alexandre Voegelé(architect) mainly for the Jacques Rougerie competition.
History:
Access to space currently requires a great deal of energy, generates a high concentration of orbital debris, and is neither regular nor reliable. However, leaving the atmosphere is an essential step in any large-scale space project.
We are proposing to create the first section of an Earth-space link that will free us from the force of gravity. This connection will be similar to a regular rail, air or sea link. It will serve an orbital connection platform, the starting point of a new page in the history of space.
A true umbilical cord between man and his home planet, it will provide a solution to the problems of waste, energy and transport. It will also be an incubator for future dreams of space.
