Context: François Descraques at the helm of his short film "Le Roi des Cons"

After giving carte blanche to several directors for a new short film project, Studio Bagel ultimately chose the screenplay written by Baptiste Lorber, Victor Rodenbach, Hugo Benamozig, and François Descraques, titled "Le Roi des Cons".

Surrounded by a team with whom he has already collaborated on numerous projects, François naturally turned to our studio for the realization of the special effects required for the implementation of this project.

A short film with a humorous tone, supported by the musical theme of Jimmy Tillier and a nod to the song by Georges Brassens titled "Le Roi".

This one tells the story of a young man with a scatterbrained mind whose life will change after an unexpected encounter...

Service: Special Effects and Object Design for Studio Bagel

For the successful implementation of this project, we were responsible for all special effects.

During filming, we provided VFX supervision for the relevant shots to ensure the highest quality in integrating the special effects.

We also supervised the green screen filming of the actress suspended from the helicopter, which was then integrated in post-production. 

To enhance the craziness of the story's universe, we also conceived and designed in 3D a multicolored traffic light, which was then integrated as realistically as possible into its environment.

We also handled various other effects:

- Crowd duplication after shooting on green screen.
- Modifying the castle environment (closing curtains, placing flags and a clock, removing trees, integrating the castle into a cityscape)
- Modeling, texturing, animation, and integration of the helicopter
- Integration of videos/images into televisions and computer screens.
- Day and night sky replacement.
- Creating the "peephole" effect on the door.
- Enhancing lightning effects in the final scene.
